The following services are commonly used in conjunction with large system deployments:

• Installation in racks. California Digital can install California Digital servers in standard 42U racks specifically selected to meet the power and cooling requirements of ultra-dense servers. The systems ship form the factory installed in one or more racks. Please be certain that adequate infrastructure exists at the receiving location and that access to the installation location can accommodate a 42U rack.

• Integration with switches. California Digital can install fast ethernet, gigabit ethernet, or Myrinet switches and cabling to interconnect all systems to the provided switch. Racks ship with network switches installed and cables installed between systems and switches.

• Integration with terminal servers.California Digital can integrate terminal servers into your system rack and interconnect your servers to your terminal servers.

• Installation of 1U KVM units. California Digital can integrate our popular 1U keyboard/mouse/monitor units with your equipment rack so you can easily configure or troubleshoot your cluster.

• Load balancing. California Digital can configure a racked set of web servers to load balance TCP/IP traffic. This uses load balancing software running on one (or more) 1U load balancing servers. Please be certain to provide IP addresses to California Digital so the configuration need not be altered after deployment. Requires factory installation of networking.

• Beowulf installation. California Digital can configure a racked set of compute servers to execute "Beowulf-style" applications. That is, kernel modifications will be installed and systems configured/tested to run parallel code. Requires factory installation of networking.
